Hayward Built provides a wide range of carpentry and building services, including but not limited to:

  • Custom Carpentry & Repairs
  • Sheds (with Fit-Outs)
  • Pool Areas & Outdoor Features
  • Man Caves & Specialty Builds

All services are executed in compliance with Australian building codes, local council regulations, and industry best practices.


3. Estimates & Quotations

  • All initial consultations and estimates are free of charge unless otherwise stated.
  • Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
  • Any adjustments to project scope or materials may require a revised quote.
  • Acceptance of a quote constitutes an agreement to proceed with the project under the outlined terms.


4. Payments & Deposits

  • A non-refundable deposit (typically 20-30% of the total project cost) is required before work commences.
  • Payment milestones will be agreed upon before project initiation. The final payment is due upon project completion.
  • Payments must be made via bank transfer or other approved payment methods.
  • Late payments beyond 7 days from the due date may incur a late fee of 5% per week.


5. Project Timeline & Scheduling

  • Estimated project timelines will be provided before work commences.
  • Delays due to weather, material shortages, or unforeseen circumstances will be communicated promptly.
  • Clients must provide access to the worksite as agreed upon to avoid unnecessary delays.


6. Workmanship & Materials

  • Hayward Built guarantees high-quality workmanship on all projects.
  • We use only premium-grade materials suitable for Queensland’s climate and building standards.
  • Clients may request specific materials, but alternative selections may be recommended based on durability and budget.
  • Material warranties are provided by the manufacturer and are subject to their terms and conditions.


7. Variations & Changes

  • Any changes to the original scope must be requested in writing and may incur additional costs.
  • Adjustments to design, materials, or timelines will be discussed before implementation.


8. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellations made before work commencement may result in forfeiture of the deposit.
  • If work has started, the client is liable for costs incurred up to the cancellation date.
  • Refunds are not applicable for completed work unless proven defective or non-compliant with the agreed terms.


9. Defects, Repairs & Warranty

  • We offer a 12-month workmanship warranty on all completed projects.
  • This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, improper use, external damage (e.g., storms), or modifications made by third parties.
  • Any issues must be reported within 7 days of discovery for evaluation and rectification.


10. Health & Safety Compliance

  • We adhere to all workplace health and safety regulations to ensure a secure worksite.
  • Clients must disclose any site hazards before work begins.
  • Any unsafe conditions that hinder progress may lead to project delays or suspension until resolved.


11. Liability & Insurance

  • Hayward Built is fully licensed and insured for all work undertaken.
  • We are not liable for damages caused by pre-existing structural issues, unforeseen site conditions, or third-party actions.
  • Clients are advised to review their home insurance policies to ensure adequate coverage during renovations or builds.


12. Client Responsibilities

  • Ensure clear access to the worksite.
  • Provide necessary approvals and permits if required.
  • Communicate any concerns or requests in a timely manner.
  • Respect site safety protocols and avoid interference during active work.


13. Dispute Resolution

  • In the event of a dispute, we encourage open communication to resolve concerns amicably.
  • If an agreement cannot be reached, mediation may be pursued through Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) or other relevant authorities.
